WTIV Senior T&I Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Package Support
- Support the T&I Manager in the delivery and execution of the Charter Party, including reviewing WTIV Owners’ documentation, claims, project programme and other Charter Party deliverables.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the vessel scope.
- Act as the primary point of contact for MWS.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the WTIV supplier's Technical Project Manager to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Support resolution of technical issues related to WTIV, including interfaces with BLP Cables, WTG and Foundation teams, as well as the WTG Contractor, with support from the wider engineering team.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to the package team, resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Collaborate closely with the WTIV Technical Lead and T&I Manager.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure that all aspects of the WTIV package meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, including supporting preparation of technical documentation required by Polish Construction Law and alignment with local authorities.
- Prepare decision proposals, presentations and documentation for reporting and meetings.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising safety or quality.
Execution & Performance Monitoring
- Coordinate and attend (if required) site visits and WTIV inspections.
- Oversee the mobilization of the WTIV to ensure availability as planned.
- Address issues or deficiencies identified from planning to execution phases.
- Monitor progress and assess WTIV supplier progress reports.
- Manage and follow up on deviations from requirements, including non-conformities (NCs), and report relevant items to package management.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer from WTIV to WTG TSA/SMA and O&M teams after project completion.
Major Tasks
- Manage the technical elements of the WTIV Charter Party.
- Support the WTG T&I Manager and T&I Technical Lead in achieving package objectives.
- Lead on technical readiness of the vessel scope for WTG installation, focusing on Contractor deliverables and alignment with MWS.
- Identify and clear scope gaps related to the Charter Party Scope of Work.
- Discuss, align and record technical interfaces together with PMO interface management, WTG T&I management, WTG package management and Contract Management.
- Contribute to claims related to the technical Scope of Work of the WTG Charter Party.
- Support EPCI packages and consents workstream in technical interfaces related to WTIV.
Qualifications
- MSc or other relevant engineering Master's degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience within offshore wind and/or construction design.
- In-depth knowledge of WTIV technology; technical competence, self-motivation, ability to work independently, flexibility and strong problem-solving mindset.
- Experience in a technical role for a WTIV supplier and understanding of Charter Party contracts.
- Strong coordination and communication skills in English.
