Completion of an inspection team consisting of leaders of the piping, mechanical, structural, electrical and instrumentation scopes and a team leader.
Our client – a British consulting firm – has taken on inspector supervision on the LNG terminal construction project. His main tasks included supervising the execution of construction, assembly and installation works, i.e. verifying the project documentation, conducting the acceptance of works and works, participating in commissioning activities and efficiency tests of the complete facility.
The client assigned us the task of completing an inspection team consisting of leaders of the piping, mechanical, structural, electrical and instrumentation scopes, as well as a team leader.
We formed a working team of three seniors and a researcher. Because the client needed to hire people with Polish construction licenses, we adopted a search strategy based first on searching the Polish market, mainly the resources of consulting firms, design offices and design departments of Polish owners of refineries and petrochemical plants. We then set about penetrating foreign markets, mainly the British, Norwegian and Dutch markets, in order to weed out people of Polish nationality who had worked in those markets.
We searched directly through our candidate database and career platforms such as LinkedIn and GoldenLine. We also used international resume databases, including oilangasjobsearch.com, oilcareers.com, monster.co.uk. We also actively used referrals from people in the petrochemical industry who remain in contact with us.
In almost two months, we were able to successfully recruit engineers with many years of experience in the petrochemical industry, who have the necessary licenses and speak English at an advanced level.
Since some of the engineers we hired were working abroad, our duties also included active assistance in relocating to Poland, including, among other things, finding accommodation and assisting with the necessary official matters.
