case study
Process Outsourcing + Petrochemicals
We have been working with the client since the very beginning of Globetek, in 2007. After a small episode at the Mažeikiai refinery in Lithuania, the Director of the company asked if we would be able to help them build a solid pool of workers needed for repair work. Unfortunately, in this industry there is a lot of preparation and not much work because overhaul windows are rarely longer than 30-40 days.
We started by building a base of specialists: Welders, Fitters, Mechanics, Supervisors, etc. from Polish resources. On the other hand, the Client had past experience with Czechs and Slovaks, to which he wanted to return.
For this project, we hired a Consultant whose husband was one of the fitters from previous projects, and went to the Czech Republic and Slovakia ourselves. It was 2008 so a lot of the process was still done in a rather archaic way – after collecting all the resumes, we obtained about 160 candidates interested in cooperation. To this group we added about 200 candidates from Poland and we had a solid basis for further activities.
First project: Fawley, Southampton UK 2008. – since then, we have been there together with the client 23 times, with more joint projects ahead.
Other projects include Grangemouth (Scotland), Esso Exxon Mobil: Rotterdam (Netherlands), Antwerp (Belgium), Gravenchon, Le Havre (France), Shell Stanlow (UK), Safaxis (Tunisia) and many other minor projects
The model of cooperation varies depending on the country, needs, project length and scope, while we always meet the company’s expectations, regardless of changing circumstances.
We provide personnel, payroll service, SCC training, exams and welding certification, transportation arrangements and day 2 day management on the project.
