We are seeking a Control Engineer (Operational Controller) to join team. Initially, you will work remotely or from the project office in Warsaw, with a rotational shift system beginning in Q4 2025 at the O&M Control Center in Łeba, Poland. This role requires a strong understanding of HV (High Voltage) operations, safety procedures, and SCADA-based power distribution management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Control: Manage and monitor the BLP Offshore Wind Power (OWP) system, ensuring smooth operation via SCADA and other information systems.
- Safety Management: Ensure strict adherence to project safety rules, particularly in electrical installations and first energization processes.
- Switching Operations: Create, issue, and approve switching schedules and take responsibility as Person in Control of the Electrical Installation (PCEI) during work.
- Incident Response: Provide rapid restoration in case of system faults and maintain network security & availability.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with Authorized Persons (APs), Senior Authorized Persons (SAPs), and the Transmission System Operator (TSO).
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all switching operations, safety precautions, and operational activities.
- Emergency Response: Initiate site-specific emergency procedures in case of abnormal system changes.
Key Deliverables
- Develop safe procedures for first energizations and high-voltage workplace safety.
- Manage HV system safety and operational processes (e.g., PtW, LOTO).
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the BLP Wind Electrical Safety Rules (WESR).
- Conduct training for O&M staff to ensure smooth transition to control operations.
- Ensure proper handover between shifts, with clear communication on operating conditions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong experience in HV commissioning, electrical operations, and safety procedures.
- Deep knowledge of electrical safety rules, switching schedules, and relevant electrical regulations.
- Experience with SCADA systems and real-time power distribution management.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Work Conditions
- Remote Work Period (Q2 2025 – Q4 2025): Monday–Friday schedule, working from home or project office in Warsaw.
- Rotation Period (Q4 2025 – Q1 2027): 14-day shifts (12-hour workdays) at the Control Center in Łeba, Poland.
