Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model by maintaining high standards in both work quality and safety.
- Develop switching schedules for operational tasks.
- Prepare switching schedules to ensure a safe working environment.
- Approve and issue switching schedules as required.
- Carry out switching operations.
- Provide guidance to the switching assistant during switching tasks.
- Assume responsibility as the Person in Control of the Electrical Installation during activities.
- Collaborate closely with the person responsible for the work being performed.
- Ensure proper application of LOTO procedures by the Commissioning and O&M teams.
- Act as the Person in Control of the Work Activity when necessary.
- Safely manage plant operations in compliance with the company’s Wind Electrical Safety Rules and associated procedures.
Tasks:
- Providing support to the electrical team during the project’s commissioning phase.
- Coordinating and executing parts of the electrical tasks.
- Carrying out remote and on-site switching operations as required.
- Consulting with the Control Engineer before starting and upon completing tasks.
- Planning, managing, and overseeing electrical works at the site.
- Authorizing the commencement of electrical activities.
- Ensuring electrical safety on site by enforcing the five essential safety rules and compliance with the company’s standards.
- Ensuring that all requirements, rules, and instructions are adhered to by personnel involved.
- Executing switching operations.
- Applying or removing earthing as needed on-site.
- Stop operations if safety is compromised.
- Supervising or delegating the role of the Person in Control of the work activity.
- Assuming the role of (Delegated) Person in Control of the electrical installation.
- Reviewing and issuing PtW.
- Communicating and coordinating site activities unless delegated to another person.
- Supervising maintenance work.
- Planning and executing HV/LV isolations.
- Facilitating on-site tasks as required by the PREI.
- Conducting pre-energization walkdowns.
- Training the O&M team in preparation for the handover from the EPC contractor.
- Performing switching operations on offshore facilities as necessary.
Requirements:
- HV commissioning experience,
- Operations under electrical safety regulations experience,
- Knowledge and abilities to prepare safety documentation, switching schedules,
- Knowledge of necessary electrical standards.
- Very good English
- SEP certification is advantageous
- GWO offshore certification
