Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise construction activities in accordance with German building regulations and project specifications.
- Act as the Construction Manager (Bauleiter) and represent the EPC contractor on site.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors across all construction disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, budget, and contractual requirements.
- Organize and lead site coordination meetings with the client, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) regulations and site-specific security procedures applicable to military facilities.
- Maintain construction documentation, including daily site reports, inspection records, and handover documentation.
- Coordinate technical issues with designers, engineers, and the client to ensure efficient project execution.
- Oversee material deliveries, logistics, and resource planning.
- Manage construction progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Support commissioning, inspections, and final project handover.
- Ensure compliance with German construction standards (DIN), VOB regulations, and applicable legal requirements.
- Manage change orders, technical clarifications, and claims throughout the project lifecycle.
Typical Requirements:
- German-recognized qualifications/authorization to perform the role of Bauleiter.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Site Manager on EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge of German construction law, VOB, DIN standards, and quality management procedures.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure, industrial, or military construction projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Fluent German and English; Polish would be considered an advantage.
- Ability to work in a high-security environment and comply with security clearance requirements where applicable.
