This role is a strategic position within a holding company. It is aimed at senior executives in the energy sector who possess the following combined skills: business development, contract execution, and extensive energy industry knowledge.

 

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Location: Poland

 

Strategic Responsibilities

1.   Vision and Strategy Development:

  • Define and communicate the company’s vision, mission, and overall strategic direction.
  • Develop short, midterm, and long-term strategies to achieve company goals and ensure sustainable growth.

2.   Market Positioning:

  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to position the company effectively in the energy sector
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company’s reach and influence.

3.   Risk Management:

  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with large-scale projects
  • Implement risk management frameworks and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.


Operational Responsibilities

1.   Project Oversight:

  • Supervise the execution of high voltage projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Oversee project management processes and methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

2.   Technology and Innovation:

  • Promote the adoption of new technologies and innovative practices in the company offer
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technological advancement within the company.

3.   Supply Chain and Procurement:

  • Oversee procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure high-quality delivery.


Financial Responsibilities

1.   Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring financial health and stability.
  • Oversee financial reporting, accounting, and auditing processes
  • Ensure the implementation of bank guarantees to protect advance payments, secure proper contract execution, and cover defect rectification upon project completion.

2.   Profitability and Cost Control:

  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Control costs and optimize resource allocation to maximize return on investment.

3.   Investment and Funding:

  • Secure funding for large-scale projects, including negotiating with investors and financial institutions.
  • Evaluate and approve capital expenditures and investment opportunities.


Leadership Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and inspire the executive team and employees to achieve company objectives.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
  • Manage employees and retention in a highly competitive environment towards highly engaged teams.

2. Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, partners, investors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.

3. Corporate Governance:

  • Ensure the company adheres to best practices in corporate governance.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Requirements:

Turnaround Expertise:

  • Proven Track Record: Experience in successfully turning around underperforming companies.
  • Strategic Realignment: Ability to redefine the company’s strategic direction to stabilize and grow revenue.

Financial Acumen:

  • Cost Management: Expertise in cost reduction and improving operational efficiencies.
  • Profitability Focus: Strong focus on driving the EBIT.
  • Contract Security Management including ensuring the implementation of bank guarantees to protect advance payments, secure proper contract execution, and cover defect rectification upon project completion.
  • Cash management and ability to manage project cash flows properly.

Operational Excellence:

  • Project Management: Deep understanding of EPC project lifecycles
  • Technology and Innovation: Ability to integrate innovative technologies and optimize supply chains.
  • Leadership and Change Management:
  • Transformational Leadership: Skilled in managing and motivating teams through significant changes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effective in maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and investors.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Sector Insight: Comprehensive knowledge of the energy infrastructure construction industry and its challenges in Poland.
