HV Cable Jointer (66kV / 220kV)

Role Overview
The HV Cable Jointer is responsible for the installation of high-voltage cable joints and terminations for inter-array (66kV) and/or export cable systems (220kV) within an offshore wind farm project in Poland. The role supports cable installation and turbine/OSS interface works prior to testing and energisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of straight joints, transition joints and terminations for 66kV and/or 220kV cables
- Preparation of cable ends, including stripping, insulation shaping and stress control
- Installation of termination kits at WTG, OSS and onshore substation interfaces
- Ensuring environmental control during jointing works (humidity, cleanliness, temperature)
- Strict compliance with OEM jointing procedures and method statements
- Recording installation documentation and quality records
- Coordination with QA/QC and testing teams prior to energisation
- Identification and reporting of defects or non-conformities
Requirements
- OEM certification for the relevant cable system
- Minimum 3–5 years of HV cable jointing experience (66kV minimum; 220kV preferred)
- Experience in offshore wind projects preferred
- Strong understanding of XLPE cable systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and termination diagrams
- Experience working in controlled jointing environments
- Fluent English
- Polish is an advantage
