We are currently supporting a leading offshore wind developer in hiring an experienced O&M Environment Specialist. The selected candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing the environmental strategy for the operations and maintenance phase of a large-scale offshore wind project in the Baltic Sea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Environmental Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the O&M phase.
- Develop and maintain Operational Environmental Management Plans (OEMPs).
- Manage environmental procedures and reporting obligations – both internal and external.
- Oversee procurement and contract management for environmental service providers.
- Coordinate with permitting authorities (e.g. RDOS, Polish Water Authority).
- Ensure proper functioning of the Operational Environmental Compliance Tracker.
- Collect and manage data related to environmental monitoring and compliance.
- Support ESG strategy and deliverables at operational level.
- Coordinate across packages and support technical teams with environmental input.
- Advise on and manage environmental incidents and mitigation actions.
- Lead communication with stakeholders regarding environmental matters.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental management, ideally in large-scale infrastructure or offshore energy projects.
- Proven experience in environmental compliance and reporting in the O&M phase.
- Knowledge of Polish environmental law and permitting processes.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Fluent in Polish and English (spoken and written).
- Experience managing contractors, consultants, and data workflows related to ESG.
