Responsibilities:
- Delivering load-bearing steelwork packages for various stages of offshore wind turbine foundation projects, including Concept Design, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Design.
- Work as a part of a multidisciplinary team on international projects.
- Primary Steel Design: Collaborate closely with in-house geotechnical, metocean, secondary steel, finite element, and load specialists to deliver primary steel design packages for large offshore wind turbine foundations.
- Work with project engineers, project management, and other relevant teams to deliver high-quality designs and documentation. Use advanced design methodologies to achieve successful third-party certification, focusing on fabrication-friendly designs and efficient follow-up during fabrication and installation.
- Load-Structural Workflow Management: Oversee the entire workflow from defining relevant load simulations to integrated aero-hydrodynamic simulations using in-house tools, ultimately deriving final design loads for optimized foundation design.
- Client and Certification Meetings: Preparations and presentation of design methods, findings, and results to the clients and certifying agents during the design and certification phases.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical. Focus on offshore steel structures or similar fields will be preferable.
- Experience in offshore wind, including turbine foundation design, structural statics/dynamics, hydrodynamics, wind loading, aeroelastic load simulations, and offshore geotechnical design is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to excel in the Primary Structures discipline, demonstrated through design work, deliverables, and collaborative engagement.
- Coordination with other disciplines and stakeholders. Ability to plan and prioritize multiple engineering tasks, making independent decisions that align with company goals.
